Equine Education Foundation (EEF) approached SDS for help with their outdated website which turned into a full brand overhaul. We gave their logo a refresh, established visual guidelines, and then designed and developed a new website with new navigation structure, updated content, and beautiful photography. View website

What exactly is a brand? Hint: It’s not a company’s logo or advertising. Those things are controlled by the company. Instead, a brand is a customer’s gut feeling about a product, service or company. People create brands to bring order out of clutter. If the word brand didn’t exist, we’d have to invent a new one, because no other word captures the complexity and richness of this concept. The only word that comes close is “reputation.” Your personal reputation, like a company’s brand, lies outside of your control. It’s not what you say it is—it’s what they say it is. The best you can do is influence it. (Excerpt from ZAG by Marty Neumeier)

As we all try to reduce our use of single-use plastics, for some, giving up Zip-Lock bags can be tough. A great replacement is silicone versions, like Stasher, the world’s first–and only–self-sealing, airtight, non-plastic bag. You can use these silicone bags in the freezer, microwave, oven, dishwasher, or even a sous vide machine. Buy here

The COVID-19 pandemic is causing fear and anxiety as most of us are still in quarantine and unaware of its end. But there’s a piece of advice that has helped me, and it comes from a well-known book called Hitchhikers Guide to the Universe: “DON’T PANIC!” I know this idea might seem late in the game at this point—being that all the hand sanitizer and toilet paper are gone—but try to remind yourself daily not to panic. Try not to dwell on the negative what ifs. Instead, spend time connecting with the positive things this situation is offering; not only to you but the world. Click here are some positives that may resonate with you to help ease any fear or anxiety in these unprecedented times.

This is Ryan Farish’s 18th studio album and it’s full of life and energy. Beautiful beats with sweeping electronica tones and movement, perfect for easy listening or inspiration. If you know Tycho, Ryan’s work has a similar tone but a bit more upbeat. Listen here

"SDS is our go-to graphic studio for a range of projects including print, web and photographic. As a designer myself, I appreciate their eye for what makes an appealing layout, rarely have we had to give them anything more than passing direction. That’s the true hallmark of a professional."
